Jamon con Melon

A tasty snack inspired by Gardner’s time abroad in Spain… usually, they (Spaniards) serve this with something similar to honeydew melon, and wrapped it in jamon serrano (which is a 1st cousin of prosciutto – cured ham). We switched things up a bit (because honeydew isn’t in season anymore and prosciutto is readily available)….tasted good to us! Try it!

1/2 cantaloupe                                      $1.50

2 ounces thinly sliced  prosciutto $2.00

total cost = $3.50

Cut the cantaloupe into bite sized cubes/rectangles. Tear the prosciutto and wrap each piece of cantaloupe with 1 sliver. EAT. easy peasy.
