Prosciutto and Artichoke Pizza with Basil Sauce

Another delicious combo….

1 recipe pizza dough                                                $1.28

16 ounces mozzarella cheese                               $5.29

2 cans artichoke hearts                                           $3.99

1/2 package prosciutto (2 oz.)                             $2.00

10 leaves fresh basil                                                  $free (from your herb garden!)

1/2 cup olive oil                                                          $0.80

1 clove garlic                                                                $0.10

salt and pepper                                                            $free (ish)

Total Cost =                                                                   $13.46 (for one great big pizza!)


Spread the dough out onto the oiled pizza pan. Set aside.

Mince the basil and garlic, and combine in a small bowl with the olive oil, salt and pepper. Spread this in a thin layer over the pizza dough.

Cut the mozzarella into small pieces (it’s too hard to grate when it’s fresh!) Sprinkle the mozzarella pieces over the pizza.

Drain the artichoke hearts, cut into bite size pieces, and spread evenly over pizza.

Cut the prosciutto into small pieces, sprinkle over pizza.

Bake at 400 for 20 minutes…enjoy!
