These are the best, so far. Their deliciousness is the result of their extremely-tasty-but-bad-for-you ingredients. Just get over it, make the cookies, eat them, and enjoy them….that’s what cookies are for…who eats healthy cookies, anyway?
3/4 cup sugar $0.30
1 cup brown sugar $0.65
1/2 cup butter, room temperature $0.24
1/2 cup shortening $0.45
1 1/2 Tablespoons vanilla $0.36
2 eggs $0.24
3 cups flour $0.15
3/4 teaspoon baking soda $0.06
3/4 teaspoon salt $free (ish)
1 bag chocolate chips $2.00
Total Cost= $4.45
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Using your mixer, cream butter, shortening, sugar, and brown sugar. Mix well – 1 to 2 minutes.
In a small bowl, slightly beat the eggs (with a fork) and add the vanilla. Add this to your sugar/butter mixture.
Sift the flour and baking soda together and add to the mixing bowl. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Fold the chocolate chips into the mixture.
Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and portion out the cookies. Bake at 350 for 14 minutes (this is how long our oven takes…take them out before they look done, otherwise you may have burned cookies). Cool cookies on a wire rack, and then ENJOY!
