This recipe makes 1 big margarita.
2 oz. Jose Cuervo Gold (or your favorite tequila)
2 oz. Cold water
1 oz. Blue Agave Syrup (found at Trader Joe’s or probably anywhere else)
1 ea. Whole lime, quartered
Drop the four quarters of lime into a cocktail shaker and muddle (smash, crush, etc). Add the tequila, water and agave syrup. Add a cup of ice. Shake vigorously and pour contents (including the crushed limes) into a tall cocktail glass.
(salted rim optional)
Enjoy!
(Thanks to the Blue Talon Bistro and their classic cocktail list for this recipe.)
Hmm. Looks good. I guess the Blue Agave syrup replaces the grand marnier?
