We found a great recipe recently that really focuses on onions (with an interesting spice blend of tumeric and saffron) that we want to recommend. It’s another Saveur recipe (I know we’ve been hitting those hard recently), but it’s a really good one.
I don’t think we’ve made this point enough the blog – chicken thighs are by far the best part of chicken (with the possible exception of the oysters). Whenever we find a recipe that calls for chicken, we usually ignore what cuts the recipe asks for and just use thighs. This recipe made us happy because we didn’t even have to substitute – just use our favorite part!
Recipe: Chicken and Onion Tagine
Oh! Have we talked about how much we like Trader Joe’s grain mix? It’s got Israeli Cous Cous, red quinoa, and yellow lentils. We use it in place of rice and whenever possible. If you have TJs near you, go find some of this stuff – it’s amazingly good!
Oh how we WISH we had a Trader Joe’s . . .
I don’t even know how to SAY tagine . . . I so love the way I am always learning from y’all!!!!!!!!!!!!
