Sauteed Green Beans with Tomatoes and Basil

Green beans are all too often a boring side dish. They are easy to boil and season to perfection, which makes them a little ho-hum after a while. Usually, we just boil them until they are to our desired softness, then drain them and add salt, lemon pepper, and olive oil…and they are perfectly tasty.

But “perfectly tasty” is a synonym for “just fine,” and that’s not really what we’re going for. We’re going for really freaking good.

Recently, we came across a recipe that combines green beans, tomatoes (our favorite!), shallots, and white wine. Not to mention fresh basil. We had to try it – and it was really freaking good. It’s the perfect way to spruce up an otherwise boring meat-and-two-sides evening.

  1. Hi! I would love to make this recipe, but the link doesn’t seem to be working. It always asks me to sign in and then tells me I can’t edit the page. Your other recipe links are working fine (chicken, etc.) – can you help me see the beans recipe?
