Green beans are all too often a boring side dish. They are easy to boil and season to perfection, which makes them a little ho-hum after a while. Usually, we just boil them until they are to our desired softness, then drain them and add salt, lemon pepper, and olive oil…and they are perfectly tasty.
But “perfectly tasty” is a synonym for “just fine,” and that’s not really what we’re going for. We’re going for really freaking good.
Recently, we came across a recipe that combines green beans, tomatoes (our favorite!), shallots, and white wine. Not to mention fresh basil. We had to try it – and it was really freaking good. It’s the perfect way to spruce up an otherwise boring meat-and-two-sides evening.
Hi Emma! Thanks for letting us know… it should work now, but sometimes there are little bugs in WordPress that can lead to unpredictable results… just in case it’s still not working, here’s the url:

Let us know how the recipe turns out!
Hi! I would love to make this recipe, but the link doesn’t seem to be working. It always asks me to sign in and then tells me I can’t edit the page. Your other recipe links are working fine (chicken, etc.) – can you help me see the beans recipe?
