We just passed several important culinary milestones. First – we cooked our first squab (yes, basically, that’s a pigeon, but a delicious one at that). Second, we had to start from scratch on preparing this bird – at $10 per pound, they’re kind enough to include the head, feet, and guts all still intact. It [...]

Tilapia with Purple Potato Crust and Chive Rosemary Oil
Thanks, Giada, for making tilapia interesting again.
You see, we are sale shoppers… and our local grocery store recently had tilapia for $2.99/pound, which seemed to us like a greeattt deal. We got EIGHT 6 ounce fillets for 9 dollars and change. Woohoo! The result of this mass purchase, however, has been tilapia after tilapia after [...]

Stuffed Heirloom Tomatoes
These are great if you’re looking for a nice appetizer or part of a tapas meal. Even though cutting the tomatoes is time-consuming a little tedious, it is well worth the effort when you’re enjoying the final product. What’s missing from the new thincrust recipe?
The pizza to go with it!
Here’s the recipe for our Margherita pizza that we made using the rosemary thincrust pizza dough. $8.00 for an extra large pizza – I’d like to see any pizza parlor beat that!
