One thing we love about fondue is that you can change what you dip and what you dip into. This time, we dipped brussel sprouts, mushrooms, cauliflower, sirloin, chicken thighs, and shrimp. I think we meant to do potatoes, too, but forgot to cut them up…we still had plenty of food.
We marinated the chicken thigh pieces in red curry sauce from Trader Joe’s, the shrimp in Sippie’s Sauce (a Christmas present), and just put salt and pepper on the steak.
Now for the broth:
4 cups chicken stock
1 cup white wine
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
10-15 white peppercorns
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
Then you just heat it, start dipping, and enjoy!
