Makes two cocktails
6 basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 oz. balsamic vinegar
4 oz. bourbon
6 oz. ginger beer
Muddle 4 basil leaves with the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar in a cocktail shaker.
Add the bourbon and ice.
Shake vigorously.
Strain over 1 ice cube into two highball glasses.
Top off with 3 oz of ginger beer per glass.
Add a basil leaf for garnish.

What does it mean to muddle?
To muddle is basically to smush. Put your ingredients in the bottom of a mixing glass and take a blunt wooden object and smush it all together in the bottom. A far more extensive set of directions and background information can be found here:
